Gassho-zukuri style house

In the mountain range to the south of the Lost Castle we have built a  Minka or farmhouse. The design is heavily inspired by the Gassho-zukuri style houses found in the mountainous Shirakawa-go Gifu Prefecture and Gokayama in Toyama Prefecture. The very high-peaked thick straw roof makes a wonderful view together with mountain terrain. The design helps to quickly dispatch rain and snow from the roof lessening the weight of the roof, letting the straw dry out quickly therefore stopping it from rot. Nature and  Landscape in the lost castle.

The nature landscape, all its wonderful moments and sights are as I understand it the most difficult impressions to recreate. To see trees and flowers growing in places one would say impossible is truly at times mind-boggling. Miyoko Solo has a passion for all things nature as a 3D artist she is enhancing The Lost Castle landscape with Japanese flora and fauna rendering a variety of wondrous scenes. Miyoko is taking us back to a time when wildflowers grew more freely to a nature less interfered by man than what we have today, reminding us of the importance to care for our environment.
